It’s not my little one—it’s my grandbaby

It’s not my little one—it’s my grandbaby, my daughter’s toddler. My daughter is pregnant with her second baby, and her daughter, Vada, is almost four years old.

I’ve always known Vada was special, and yes, maybe I’m a little biased… but she’s really smart. She was alert from day one and has the biggest, brightest personality.

Anyway, back to the story.

My daughter had just found out she was pregnant again, but she hadn’t told anyone except her husband and me. She wanted to wait until after the first trimester before telling Vada, just in case something happened early on. She actually never tells anyone before the first trimester.

Then, out of nowhere, Vada hugged her mama’s waist really tight. Suddenly, she stepped back, looked her mama straight in the eye, and said:

“I smell a baby in your tummy!!”

I almost fell over!

My daughter, already used to Vada’s wild and wonderful ways, just laughed and said, “Oh, you do, do you?”

I swear, she might be psychic! 😂

Now she keeps saying it’s her brother. We find out next week—I can’t wait! ❤️
