How would American soldiers have treated Adolf Hitler if he surrendered to them?

Probably very similar to this.

The above photos show Herman Goering shortly after his surrender to American soldiers of the 36th Division. These photos taken on or around the 9th May 1945 show a unperturbed Goering.

After the happy photograph’s Hitler could have expected the following treatment.

Hitler would have been held accountable for his actions as the chief defendant at Nuremberg.

After the mere formality of establishing guilt, Hitler would have faced the following treatment, like so many of his henchmen.

Otto Ohlendorf moments before his execution. 7th June 1951.

Hitler could expect the same treatment that any other high rank Nazi official received.

This would be decided by the rule of law.
