An Update on My Son, Anthony
About a month ago, I asked for prayers for my family but didn’t share many details. Now, I want to give you an update.
My son, Anthony, went to the doctor because he had pain in his lower stomach. After running some tests, they found a tumor in his colon. At first, the doctor thought it was stage 2 colon cancer. The only good news was that his heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys were all healthy.
But after more tests, we got worse news. Anthony’s cancer is now stage 4 because he has two tumors instead of one, and some lymph nodes are affected. Thankfully, his other organs are still safe. The good part is that his cancer responds well to radiation, and he will also get chemotherapy to make the radiation even stronger. The plan is for radiation to handle about 85% of the cancer, and chemotherapy will take care of the other 15%.
In just one month, his condition went from stage 1 to stage 4. Please keep Anthony in your thoughts and prayers. He’s a strong person, and even with everything going on, he still finds a way to make me laugh. I truly believe having a positive attitude is a big part of fighting this, and since he’s my son, I know he will get through it.
