“At 3 a.m., I got a phone call saying that my sister had been killed in a car accident because of some young, reckless driver! I couldn’t sleep and rushed to hit the road. Of course, we were speeding, trying to get back to Detroit, but we got pulled over in Ohio. I knew I was going to jail because of an old warrant. The police called Wayne County, but they wouldn’t come to get me because it was too far away. I told the officer that my sister had died and I needed to get to my mom as soon as possible. I started crying, and he could tell how serious I was. Then, to my surprise, he reached over and started praying for me and my family. He even offered to drive me 100 miles closer to Detroit because they had to tow the car. Everyone knows how much I don’t like cops, but I am truly grateful for this one. He gave me hope.”
