Brenda was only 15 years old when one day in 1979 she took up her father’s rifle and from the balcony of the house which was adjacent to the school she attended, she began shooting at people, killing the principal, a security guard and wounding nine other people, including the class mates.
After hours of negotiations, the police managed to enter the house thanks to having offered the girl a hamburger.
When they asked her why she had done it herself, she very calmly replied:
“I don’t like Mondays, they’re so boring, I just did it to brighten up my day.”
Today Brenda is over 50 years old and still resides in prison. The judges refused to grant her conditional release because it is believed she may still be dangerous.
