Charlie Sheen has twin sons with his ex-wife, Brooke Mueller. They were born with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) as Mueller drank heavily throughout her pregnancy. Charlie, too, was on drugs for years as their marriage broke down. With neither parent capable to care for them, his former wife Denise Richards graciously allowed the broken boys into her home…
The boys proved to be a handful, to put things mildly… they had severe behavioral issues, and were unable to relate to their older half-siblings, reportedly pulling their hair, kicking them, abusing them.
They even abused the family’s dogs, broke things, destroyed property… Richards was eventually forced to relinquish custody, but the biological mother, Mueller, who took them in… was still addicted to drugs and frequently entering rehab until as late as recently as August 2019.
Yes there are aunts, uncles and grandparents stepping in, Charlie Sheen’s father Martin Sheen being a responsible adult by all sources, but he’s also elderly and so is Charlie Sheen’s mother. Charlie Sheen’s career is non-existent after his antics, and I’m not sure how long his sobriety has lasted or will last.
It’s a nasty thought, but I cannot help but shake it that the sons of Charlie Sheen, by virtue of having such a trainwreck for a father and such a pitiful addict as a mother, are doomed. They are now ten years old each and it’s heartbreaking to imagine what their childhood has been like so far and where they may be headed.
