Dr. Amanda Hess was 9 months pregnant with complications and was in the hospital to be induced into labor. While she was getting dressed in her hospital gown, she overheard that a mother in another room needed an emergency delivery because her baby was in distress, and her doctor wasn’t available. Even though she was in labor herself, Dr. Hess put on another gown over her hospital gown, threw on some oversized boots over her flip-flops, and helped deliver the woman’s baby. After that, she gave birth to her own baby just an hour later.”
