I got pulled over by a Tennessee State Trooper on Wednesday morning. When he came up to my car

“I got pulled over by a Tennessee State Trooper on Wednesday morning. When he came up to my car, he asked, ‘Why aren’t the two boys in the back seat in car seats?’ I explained that the two boys were my foster sons, and I had just received them the night before. I showed him the paperwork and told him that when I got them, all they had were the clothes they were wearing—no car seats, no toys, no coats, nothing. He was very kind to both the kids and me. He asked for my phone number, and I gave it to him. Later, his wife called me and asked about the boys.

This morning, Officer Tidwell met me in Waverly. He and his wife had bought gifts for the boys—not just for the two boys in the back seat, but also for their older brother. I can’t thank him enough for his kindness to these three boys. I never asked him for anything, but he and his wife acted out of the goodness of their hearts. He showed the boys that there are kind cops out there, and I hope they’ll always remember that cops are good. The boys have been telling everyone, ‘Cops are nice.’ He really made their day.

We hear so much negative news these days, so I wanted to share this good story with all of you.”
