I’ll keep this short…

My daughter recently lost a very special gift from her grandmother, who passed away just a week before Christmas—her favorite Seattle Seahawks scarf. Losing it completely broke her heart.

My daughter and wife often visit the McDonald’s in Napavine, Washington. She always orders French fries and a hamburger with no meat (I know, it’s a little unusual). Zac, the manager, always goes out of his way to make sure her special order is perfect and even adds a little extra treat sometimes.

Today, something truly touching happened. Zac’s coworker, Brittany, saw a post on Facebook about my daughter losing her Seahawks scarf and realized she was the same girl who comes in for fries. Then Zac did something incredibly kind—he bought her a new scarf and surprised her with it during their next visit. He explained that while it couldn’t replace the one from her grandmother, he didn’t want her to be without one.

As a father of a daughter with autism, I’m so grateful for Zac’s kindness and care. Zac, you’re an amazing person, and McDonald’s is lucky to have you as a manager. You’ve made my daughter a fan for life—now she even wants to work at McDonald’s when she grows up!

Thank you so much, Zac and Brittany. My wife and I are writing a letter to show our thanks. I really hope the right people at McDonald’s see this and give Zac the recognition he deserves.

Thank you again, Zac!
