Just ask Charla Nash.
She was brutally attacked by a chimpanzee named Travis, which belonged to her friend Sandra Herold.
On February 16, 2009, Nash’s life changed forever—and not in a good way.
Travis attacked her face, ripping off her scalp, nose, ears, lips, and most of her eyes.
He also tore off both of her hands. Both.
The injuries were so shocking that:
“Stamford Hospital announced that it is offering counseling services to doctors, nurses, and surgeons who spent seven hours caring for the victim.”
In short: never try to fight an adult chimpanzee.
They are much stronger than humans, have huge fangs, and attack with terrifying aggression. They don’t stop. They don’t show mercy.
And the worst part? You can’t outrun a chimpanzee.
It doesn’t take long before you’re covered in blood.
