Mona Heydari, a 17 year old iranian girl was beheaded by her husband in the name of honor killing.
Mona was forcefully married to her husband, who is also her cousin, when she was just 12 years old.
She give birth to her son at the age of 14 years old.
She was a victim of domestic violence but stayed for the sake of her 3 year old son.
Mona escaped to Turkey but returned later after finding it hard to live alone in another country.
After a few days Mona was murdered by her husband Sajjad and his brother, who tied her up and chopped of her head.
Her body was dumped and her husband walked through the street holding her decapitated head with one hand and the knife used to murder her in another.
He murdered her after mona sent him a picture of herself from Turkey.
He was grinning while people are recording him walking through the streets with her decapitated head.
Sajjid Heydari was charged for her murder and jailed for 8 years in prison on 18 January 2023.
