Please join or family to fast and pray for our grandson tomorrow if you are so inclined.

Update on our 15 year old grandson Champ’s condition.

He was life flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City 2 weeks ago after he suffered a traumatic brain injury from a dirt bike accident. Luckily he was wearing full body armor or he would have never made it to this point.

Last week his progress was amazing! He was able to open his eyes, shake his head yes or no, shrug his shoulders, and move all 4 extremities… for several days. It was truly a miracle to see. They took the pressure monitor and drains out of his head.

Saturday morning came around and he didn’t wake up like he was supposed to. Thanks to the quick thinking of his nurse they decided to give him a CT Scan.

He was rushed to an emergency surgery with two thoughts. 1. He had a stroke and if it affected his brain stem they were going to disconnect him from all machines and let him pass away. 2. They were going to do a craniotomy where they would cut a portion of the back of his skull away to help relieve the pressure, and hopefully stabilize him.

Good news. He did have a small stroke but it wasn’t a severe stroke and the brain stem appeared to be in good shape. He did have a small blood clot but they weren’t going to mess with that right now.

He was put back on paralytics and heavy sedation so his brain can heal. His vitals have been great all week.

Tomorrow is a HUGE day. They are going to try and begin to wake him up. The Dr’s said one of two things is going to happen. 1. Is that we will see his motor skills return and that is great news. Or 2. He will be “locked in” and that will be terrible news… about the worst we could receive.

So… dear friends… I am pleading with you one more time to join our entire family in prayer or positive thoughts for the healing of our awesome grandson and peace for his parents.

We are also asking our family to fast for two meals tomorrow in Champ’s behalf. Please feel free to join us if you are so inclined.

The last time we fasted his pressures were stabilized and never rose again for over a week, allowing him to have his first MRI.

We are true believers in God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost/Spirit. We believe in and expect miracles.

God is good… no matter the outcome… but… we are asking God for the miracle and are expecting it.

Love to all.
