The last 24 hours showed me why my wife is just the best.
We woke up before 3 AM for a 7:00 flight.
Spokane International Airport was a mess. We had no chance of making our flight. Since we had an international flight to Morocco, the kiosks wouldn’t give us boarding passes. We ended up in a long line of “problem passengers” trying to rebook, and after three hours, we finally reached an agent.
Then, an elderly lady behind us passed out on the floor, and our agent ran over to help. She stayed with the lady and helped even after the ambulance crew arrived.
While we were waiting, the person next to us was trying to rebook her child’s flight. She didn’t have enough money for the extra fee because her wallet was in the car, and going back for it would cause her child to miss the flight.
As I reached for my wallet to help her, my wife beat me to it and volunteered to pay.
She wouldn’t accept any offers to repay her, and we stayed anonymous, just wishing the child a good flight.
And guess what? Every single one of our flights got delayed, but we still made them!
