This old technique isn’t used much anymore because we have respirators and other machines.
But if hospitals are full and you can’t get medical help, remember this. Don’t wait until it’s too late.
If you have trouble breathing or a lot of mucus, try this: Breathe in and out slowly while lying in this position for 15 to 20 minutes, three times a day—or as long as you need.
Important:
- Don’t do this on a full stomach.
- Wait before or after meals.
In 1976, during an influenza outbreak in a nursing home in Vietnam, this method was used. No elderly person died, while many in other nursing homes did.
