Tonight, on my flight from Indianapolis to Baltimore

“Tonight, on my flight from Indianapolis to Baltimore, I sat next to a young girl who was flying alone to see her mother. With Southwest Airlines’ open seating, anyone could sit next to her, and many people avoided her because of her energy during boarding. But then, a couple sat next to her.

Soon after, the young girl started chatting, and the couple realized this wouldn’t be a quiet flight… but they just went with it.

When drinks were served, the couple didn’t even get a chance to order before the girl said, ‘I’ll take water with a straw, and so will they so we can paint!’

And they just went with it.

Within minutes, the girl pulled out her Hello Kitty paint sheets, and the couple spent the next hour following her instructions, as you can see in the picture.

As I write this, the man next to her is covered in Marvel stickers—on his ears, beard, arms, everywhere. And he’s just rolling with it.

Moral of the story: There’s so much good in the world. If we just open our eyes to it, we’ll see that love doesn’t come with a manual. Sometimes, you just have to roll with it.”
