I was out shopping with my daughter. She was in her carseat, just being a happy baby. I had just come home from a trip to Alaska the day before and I forgot some stuff back in Alaska that my daughter needed. So I was at the store getting her some diapers, and some food.
Alaina was playing with a toy in her carseat and I was talking to her as we shopped. She was about 7 months old at the time, it was late September.
Alaina was just in a onesie, a pair of pants, and had a blanket over her. A customer walked over as I was choosing baby food stopped to watch my daughter.
“That baby needs to be in a coat or it will freeze.”
“I’m sorry, but she’s fine. She wont freeze and she was a blanket on.”
The lady proceeds to try and take my daughter out of her carseat, “shes really small.”
“Ma’a., please dont touch my daughter. She is perfectly fine. Her doctor says shes perfect.”
The lady started getting more aggressive with me before some employees realized what was happening. They called the police, and escorted me to the back while the woman ran off.
My daughter was on the small side due to prematurity. She is amazing, always has been and is the love of my life. I just dont like when people try to take my darlin daughter.
