When we saw a 28-year-old nurse walk into our room

When we saw a 28-year-old nurse walk into our room, covered in tattoos, I have to admit—I wasn’t sure what to think. But within minutes, he proved me completely wrong.

From the moment he met me, he told me I was doing an amazing job staying calm. When I told him I had a feeling the baby would come fast, he looked right at me and said, “I believe you. We’re going to make this happen.”

He moved around the room like he had done this a thousand times, never missing a beat. When my husband, Zackery, mentioned that his whole family—grandparents, parents, him, and his brother—had only ever had boys, the nurse smiled and kept working.

And when our baby girl was finally born, he teared up right along with us.

Colton, every woman deserves a nurse like you during one of the hardest moments of her life. Thank you for being the quiet hero in the delivery room every single day.

People like you make this world a better place. 🌎♥️
