While I was in Liberty, I noticed a gentleman loading up his cart with an unusual amount of milk. Curiosity got the best of me, so I asked him why. That’s when I met Rick—a retired Marine with a heart of gold.
Rick wasn’t stocking up for himself. Instead, he was on a mission to make sure no child in his neighborhood goes hungry. He buys milk and other groceries regularly, quietly delivering them to families who need them most. He told me some parents can’t make it to the store or pick up free lunches for their kids, so he steps in—without expecting anything in return.
This wasn’t his first time, and it certainly won’t be his last. Rick’s selflessness and dedication to his community are the definition of true heroism. I told him that good Karma will surely come his way—because kindness like his never goes unnoticed.
