WOW. Something amazing just happened to me, and I have to share it!
American Airlines now charges people to bring a carry-on bag onto the plane. I think it’s ridiculous, but that’s not the point.
I combined all my bags into one to avoid the fee, but when they measured it, they said it was just a little too big. They told me I had to pay $50, but they only accept credit cards, not cash.
Since I just got back from Europe, my bank didn’t know I was home yet, so all my cards were being declined. The airline told me I’d have to miss my flight and go back to the ticket counter to pay there. I was devastated, begging them to help.
Then, out of nowhere, a man walked up and asked, “How much is it?”
They told him $50, and he immediately said, “I got it.”
I was shocked and told him he didn’t have to, but before I could say more, he handed over his card. The airline workers stood there in silence, surprised by his kindness.
They swiped his card, and he just smiled and said, “Have a great flight.”
I was in tears as I boarded the plane. When I saw him sitting in first class, I tried to give him the money back, but he shook me off and simply said, “Pay it forward.”
My heart is so full. There are still good people in this world. Be that person for someone. I know I will be after this. 💕
