When Joey Prusak, a 19-year-old Dairy Queen manager, was serving a blind customer, he noticed that the man had dropped a $20 bill. The woman behind him picked up the money and put it in her purse.
Prusak, seeing this, asked the woman to return the money. When she refused, the boy walked her out of the store. “I said, ‘Ma’am, you can either give me the $20 back or you can leave the store, because I’m not going to serve someone that disrespectful.'”
The woman walked away. Prusak then walked over to the blind customer and gave him $20 from his own pocket. The boy said, “I just did what I thought was right. I didn’t even think about it.”
A gesture of great integrity that touched the hearts of many.
